250 Judges Meet at IAWJ's Latin America and Caribbean Regional Conference in Argentina

Some of the speakers who attended the 2013 Latin America and Caribbean Regional Meeting include Justice of the Supreme Court of Argentina, Carmen Maria Argibay, Executive Director of the IAWJ, Joan D Winship, President of the Supreme Court of Colombia, Ruth Marina Diaz Rueda, and Minister of the National Court of Justice of Ecuador, Maria Ximena Vintimilla Moscoso. 

Topics covered by these and the other speakers at the 2013 Latin America and Caribbean Regional Meeting included "The Politics of the Supreme Court on Domestic Violence", "Gender as a Condition of Vulnerability in Access to Justice", Gender Equality in the Election of the Supreme Judicial Body", and "Ecofeminism and Justice". 

Over 250 judges from Latin America and the Caribbean came together for the 2013 IAWJ Latin America and Caribbean Regional Conference on March 15th and 16th, in Iguazu, Argentina. The meeting was hosted by the Asociacion de Mujeres Jueces de Argentina (AWJA) to allow participants to exchange their experiences and knowledge to advance equality and access to justice for women around the world. 

Speakers and attendees of the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Conference came from all over the region; from countries including Argentina, The United States, Colombia, Paraguay, Bolivia, Guatemala, Peru, Brazil, and Ecuador.
