Justice Lynch was appointed to the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia, Canada, in 2002 and currently serves on the General Division, having previously sat on the Family Division. Since 2021, she has been the International Director for North America on the Board of Directors of the International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ). She served as President of the Canadian Superior Court Judges Association for 2023/2024 and now holds the role of Past President on its Executive. A dedicated advocate for women in the judiciary, she is a member of the IAWJ’s Afghan Women Judges Support Committee and a Past President of the Canadian Chapter of the IAWJ. Justice Lynch also contributes to the Judicloud Advisory Board for Federal Judicial Affairs and has served on national and provincial judicial committees focused on technology, education, security, outreach, and media liaison. She is a sought-after speaker, presenting on a range of legal topics at provincial, national, and international conferences.
