The International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) is committed to assisting women judges facing persecution, threats, dislocation, and threats to judicial independence globally. Funds donated to this fund are currently being used to meet the urgent needs of Afghan women judges in crisis within and outside of Afghanistan through IAWJ’s Afghan Women Judges Committee. The Committee is determined to help Afghan women judges and their families before it is too late, especially with winter approaching, which will exacerbate food shortages and make evacuations more challenging and expensive. Funds are urgently needed to cover the costs of further evacuations, safe houses, food, and medical expenses for judges still in hiding or in transit countries and the costs to help resettle all the female judges and their families in their final destinations. The Committee is pleased to announce a new fundraising campaign at http://afghanwomenjudgesfund.org/. Please follow this link to give to the Campaign.
