Started nearly 30 years ago by a core group of visionary women judges from around the world, the International Association of Women Judges is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to the protection and promotion of the rule of law, equal access to justice, and gender equality. IAWJ members work tirelessly to increase the number of women judges; to empower its members to exercise judicial leadership boldly, independently, and creatively; and to advance gender equality by addressing injustices and human rights challenges uniquely faced by women and girls in their societies. Your gift will help us continue our vital work.

The International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ) is committed to assisting women judges facing persecution, threats, dislocation, and threats to judicial independence globally. Funds donated to this fund are currently being used to meet the urgent needs of Afghan women judges within and outside of Afghanistan through IAWJ’s Afghan Women Judges Committee. The Committee is determined to help Afghan women judges and their families and  without contributions such as this, we could not continue this lifesaving work!
