Plans for the Biennial Conference in Marrakesh, Morocco are well underway and registrations are already OPEN. There is an exciting program planned. The overall theme of the conference is “Women judges: achievements and challenges” with sub themes of trauma and resilience, sisterhood and solidarity and innovation and leadership. A call for speakers has already been sent as well.
The conference is hosted by the Union of Moroccan Women Judges with the generous support of the Moroccan Ministry of Justice and the Region of Marrakesh. We are very excited that our members will have the opportunity to get together in person after so long where only virtual meetings have been possible.
The conference venue is the Kenzi Rose Garden Hotel. At present, it is envisaged that the conference will start at 10 am on 11 May 2023 with the opening ceremony and lunch. There will then be a visit to the Palais de Justice, followed by a dinner and cultural experience. The conference will then run for two full days on 12 and 13 May and half a day on 14 May. The gala dinner will be on 14 May. On-site registration and the drop off of items for the silent auction will be available from 10 May.
