AWJ members have often spoken of the way(s) in which judges’ authority is questioned and sometimes attacked. They have asked for programming that will help them deal with the challenges of – well, being challenged. This webinar explores three partial and interrelated answers: better judicial communication, procedural fairness – and inclusive justice. Inclusive justice, as IAWJ uses that term, means justice that includes not only the persons for whom courts were originally designed but all who work there, testify there, or seek to protect their rights there. The hypothesis we are exploring is that as justice becomes more inclusive, support for the rule of law, the institution of the courts, and the role of judges rise in tandem.
